Onyx can be described as fairytale. It is definitely one of the most interesting stones used in interior design. It will make the space in which it is located look extraordinary. Geologically, these are rocks capable of transmitting light, they occur in plates whose thickness reaches several centimeters. Quite commonly appears as a replacement for marble.

Onyx is a very valuable variety of chalcedony found in black and white, green, or just white. They can be found practically all over the world, although they are very rare rocks, so they are a real treat for collectors. They are also used in the jewelery industry.

Currently, miniature sculptures and intaglios, i.e. flat reliefs made of precious stones, are made of onyx. Onyx of a slightly different caliber is used for construction purposes. In this case, under the name of onyx, there are laminated limestone rocks built, practically only of transparent sparite (aragonite or calcite), without significant admixtures of granular components. 

 Thanks to this, you can achieve slightly lower costs of this rare material, although it is still an extremely valuable material.
