Onyx is a variety of microcrystalline quartz of compact masses, colored opaque or translucent, uniform. Its tactile tones of red, brown and a whole range of grays to blacks with a surface designed by streaks and light shades. The Onyxes are less dense than marble and have flaws and cracks that are usually natural resin so as to be a uniform surface and well sealed.
